Michał Obara is the Managing Director of Student Depot, Poland’s largest student accommodation provider. In his new role, he oversees the implementation of Kajima’s growth strategies for the business. He joined Student Depot from Echo Investment, where he played a pivotal role in supporting property sale and acquisitions, as well as evaluating investment strategy and portfolio performance.
Michał has over ten years of experience in real estate capital markets and nine years in finance, analysis, and reporting. During this period, he co-operated with major investment funds, asset managers and mortgage banks, successfully closing several transactions with a total value of around €1 billion.
Having been part of the Student Depot team in 2017, prior to Kajima’s shareholding, Michał has extensive expertise in student housing acquisitions, development, and lettings processes. He is a Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Certified Commercial Investment Member.
