Charles Baker is Head of Intermodal, Euromed, for PSA International, a leading global port operator and partner to cargo stakeholders. Charles is a British national who started his 30-year career with shipping lines before joining the Port of Felixstowe. Charles developed through a variety of operational, commercial, R&D and business development roles at Felixstowe, Harwich and Thamesport for Hutchison Ports, before moving to Brazil in 2004. He worked at an executive level In Brazil and Spain before moving to APM Terminals HQ in The Hague in 2008.

In 2010 Charles took the role of Chief Commercial Officer of NOATUM, a company formed by a JP Morgan Investment Fund, and then in 2012, Charles joined PSA International and moved to Havana, Cuba, to develop a new greenfield container terminal. In 2021 Charles moved to Gdansk as CEO of Baltic Hub and lead the development of Terminal 3, which takes the terminal’s capacity to 4.4 million TEUs p.a. In January 2025, Charles transitioned to the role of “Head of Intermodal” for the EuroMed region for PSA, but remains loving in Gdansk.

PSA’s portfolio comprises over 70 deepsea, rail and inland terminals across more than 180 locations in 45 countries – including two flagship port operations in Singapore and Belgium. Drawing on the deep expertise and experience from a diverse global team, PSA collaborates with its customers and partners to develop world-class port ecosystems and deliver innovative supply chain solutions to accelerate the shift towards sustainable trade.
In Poland, PSA owns and operates Baltic Hub (formerly DCT Gdansk), which handled 2.24 million TEU in 2024. Baltic Hub has an annual terminal capacity of 2.9 TEU and has an operating surface of 88 ha.
